Keith R. McKinley

Attorney and entrepreneur, Keith R. McKinley has been working in the legal profession for 13 years. As an outgrowth of his law practice, he branched into creative artists' representation and record label operation. The record label he co-founded is Contour Records (www.contourrecords.com), which is the recording home of internationally acclaimed vocalist and composer, Ruth Naomi Floyd (www.ruthnaomifloyd.com).

As a creative artist representative, Mr. McKinley's approach is to try to help artists create their own entrepreneurial platforms upon which they can further develop their talents and advance their works in society. Mr. McKinley's advice to artists is simple. He says: "No artist or art entrepreneur should expect for anyone to do for them what they are not willing to do for themselves".

In 2001, Mr. McKinley formulated the idea to become the founder and publisher of the internet publication, Art & Survival (www.artandsurvival.com). Debuting on April 6, 2002, Art & Survival is intended to serve as a not for profit educational resource for artists, artist representatives, art entrepreneurs and consumers who are seeking information about the reproduction and distribution of culture through the creative and performing arts.

Mr. McKinley received his B.A. in Political Science in 1986 and he received his law degree in 1989.
